Brothers, Companions and Sir Knights: A York Rite One-Day on the 8th day of March is being planned to be held at Beatrice, Nebraska at the Masonic Center. The center is located at 601 Grant Street. As one comes into Beatice on Hwy #77 the building is located on the East side of the street in downtown proper. We need everyone that can to participate. Please be there at the Masonic Center by 8:00 a.m. to participate in the Mark Masters Degree. Lincoln has three candidates, Crete has some, Beatrice has two, Pawnee City has two, Cortland has 2. and I still have to hear from Hastings. As you can see, a lot depends on this one-day. In order to put on the degrees as well as we can, we need as many proficient York Riters as we can get. The last time we put on the degrees in Lincoln, we installed four Companions and Sir Knights. It looks like we could have 10 this time. My brothers, driving costs are escalating all the time and the time spent on the road is quite costly, too. We also have some candidates who have some health problems to deal with who cannot spend a lot of time getting to their destination. Please consider this when making your decision to participate. Lincoln has voted to help in doing everything they can to help. We hope to have everything completed by 5:30. I will try to keep everyone abreast of the situation. Please e-mail me if you can participate and what part or parts you will be giving. My phone # is 402-421-1674. E-Mail address is: minerland@neb.rr.com. Am sending you an attachment for those who want to see what you have done previously. For others, please feel free to help in any way you can. I am sure if you can do the part, these brethren will let you. Please let me know by February 18th what you would like to do, so these brethren can review their parts. Fraternally, Roger Miner OMAHA CHAPTER AND COUNCIL DEGREES ON MARCH 1ST, 2008 Companions
The time of year has come again when we need to do a reunion, the date will be March 1st and I want to start at 8:00 AM sharp with the Mark Master Degree. PLEASE LOOK CAREFULLY BELOW, SOME OF YOU HAVE NEW PARTS AND I NEED TO KNOW WHETHER YOU WILL BE ABLE TO DO THEM. SOME OF YOU WILL BE STUDING TO BE BACK-UPS. PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP IF THIS WILL BE POSSIBLE. Also below my message is a request from Roger Miner for help in doing a reunion in Beatrice, the following weekend 8 March with parts he needs and who filled them in the attachment. He says that he can use help and I told him I would put the word out.

Editorial June 4th, 2005 The day of the One Day York Rite Degrees started out at 6:45 a.m. with some of our members from Omaha present. They thought that the starting time was 7:00 a.m. After coffee was made, and enjoyed at 7:15 with cream filled rolls, members from Lincoln, Beatrice, and York, showed up and we got started with the degrees at 8:00 a.m. Most of the members of the degree teams were there with almost everyone present at their appointed time. We began with all of the Chapter Degrees in the morning. At app. 12:15 we broke for lunch and enjoyed a meal of fried chicken, baked beans, mashed potatoes, country gravy, cold drinks, and coffee catered by Hy-Vee under supervision of Rick Harris our Illustrious Master of Lincoln Council #4, and Excellent Companion and Eminent Sir Night James Brown Jr. of Lincoln Chapter #6 and Mount Moriah Commandery #4. In the afternoon, starting at 12:45 p.m., we finished the Royal Arch Degree and proceeded with the Council Degrees and finished up with the Knights Templar Orders at about 5:15. Cleanup was accomplished by everyone by 5:30 p.m. A special thanks goes to a hardworking group taking care of the properties headed by Excellent Companion and Eminent Sir Knights James Batten and Rick Harris. Fraternally, Roger Miner
Editorial November 6th , 2005 The day of November 5th, 2005, started out at 5:00 a.m. for a drive to Hastings, Nebraska for our York Rite One Day Degree Session. We were pleased to have Brother Bill Cummings from Lancaster Lodge #54 our candidate. We finished with the Royal Arch Degree at noon . We were greeted by Noble Glen Jorgensen, Secretary of the Scottish Rite and Tahama Shrine who were to have their Fall Shrine Ceremonial that Saturday. We joined them for a fine lunch. After lunch, we proceeded with the Council Degrees and finished with the Order of the Temple at 5:00 sharp. The Commander of the Order of the Temple, Fred Wyant, thanked the officers and the Fraters for coming and helping with the degrees. Also present were Companion and Sir Knight James Foote, who prompted the session. Present, also, were W. B. Art Dye, Deputy Grand Custodian of the Grand Lodge who opened the Masonic Temple and was there with Coffee & Rolls. The Properties and Costumes we used that day are well kept and make putting on the degrees a pleasure. The York Rite would like to thank W. B., Comp. & Sir Knight Bob Williams and the Hastings Masonic Center for all that they did to make our York Rite Session a success.
Fraternally, Roger Miner
