The following message was sent to me by e-mail. I am posting this as of Monday, September 15th, 2008

Roger.

Happened to see your web site.  I have a cushman shrine eagle. this eagle was one of the last eagle made by cushman in 1966 - in 1965 cushman stopped building the eagle but was asked by a shrine club in Iowa to build 22 - this is one of the last one built.  It runs good- white in color with shrine badges and flag holders.  Needs a little restoration. mainly to be painted and new seat cushions.  Been stored for several years.  Before listing it for sale I thought I would notify a few shriner clubs.  Asking 5500.00.

It would be nice to put it back in a shriner club.

 C.S.S.A DES MOINES

On Friday, September 3rd, 2004, Competition Drills were held at Des Moines at
Adventureland Park. This Editor had many things to take care of but was there to take
some pictures of the Cushmans as they rode the obstacle course. The following
pictures are some that were taken.

On Friday Evening, at Adventureland Auditorium, the trophies were presented to the
winners of the competition. As there were many of them to be handed out, and to speed up
the presentation, pictures were to be taken at the motel. The following Sesostris
presentations and group pictures were taken at the Motel.

NOBLE BOB SIDES INSTALLATION

On April 8th & 9th, 2005 Noble Bob Sides will be installed as the new President of the Central
States Association of Motor Corp at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the India Shrine Center,
3601 Northwest 36th Street. Interested Nobles take notice and govern yourselves accordingly.
More on this later.

The following message is the latest from Noble Bob Sides and I will print it just as he sent it
to me, and I quote:

February 25, 2005

Dear Noble,

Thank you for deciding to travel to Oklahoma City in April to participate in the Central
States Association of Shrine Motor Corps (CSASMC) annual mid-winter meeting. Some of
you have seen the enclosed letter and some have not so I am including it again. By this time,
I think each of you have made your room reservations. If not, please do so today. Hotel
information is on the first page of the letter. If you are going to be arriving on Thursday
and would like to join us for dinner, please let us know. (The CSASMC letter indicates that
responses for all the events are to be sent to Darrell David, the President. I would like to
have you either give your response to me for consolidation or at least be notified of your
plans.)

Many of you have been asking about Saturday’s events. The business meeting will be held
at the Clarion @ 9 AM. All of the Motor Corps members are encouraged to attend and all
other men are invited as well. (I have even seen a Lady or two attend however I think they
felt a bit out of place). The offsetting event for the ladies is a bus trip to Guthrie followed by
a luncheon per the enclosed letter. Ladies, if you haven’t already done so, please let us know
if you will be attending and send us the $25 which includes the bus trip and the luncheon
and entertainment. (Sorry guys, this looks like a great event but we aren’t invited.)
Following the ladies’ luncheon and the men’s freestyle lunch, we have the option of getting
on the bus ~ 2PM for a 2 – 2 ½ hour no charge tour of some of the Oklahoma City
attractions such as the Federal Building Memorial, Bricktown, ??

The bus will leave the hotel at 5:45 PM to travel to the India Shrine Center for the Social/
Banquet/Installation of Officers/and the 50’s/60’s Dance. (I know that is why you are
going) Per the letter, 50’s attire is welcome but not required. If any of the ladies want a
poodle skirt and haven’t already done so, contact Judy Neeman (467-2542) as soon as
possible. Guys, please bring your fez for the events prior to the dance. You might want to
bring a sports jacket to wear to the banquet over your tee shirt and jeans but that is up to
you. Drinks from Social time through the dance are complimentary of the CSASMC and
India Shrine Motor Corps. If you have a particular taste that might not be standard fare,
BYOB is acceptable. The bus will make several shuttle trips to meet your desires of
returning back to the Clarion.

Sunday morning, we will be saying goodbye to the Okie hospitality and returning to the
home of the real Big Red.

WE are really looking forward to this weekend and upcoming year of responsibilities as
President of the largest Association in Central States Shrine. We are excited and humbled
by the large group of people making this trip. (Actually you are all in training for next year
when Sesostris will host this event April 20 – 23 in Lincoln).

Please feel free to call us if you have any questions.

Fraternally,

Bob and Janet Sides

1st VP CSASMC
