Genesis A letter was written by William Bowen, Grand Secretary of the Grand Chapter of Nebraska, Royal Arch Masons, to Christopher Fox, General Grand Secretary of the General Grand Council of the U.S. on November 20th, 1874, as to the newly elected officers of the seventh annual Convocation of the Nebraska Grand Chapter beginning November 11, 1873 and ending on January 5th 1875. They were: M.E. Comp. Robert W. Furnas, Grand High Priest - M.E. Comp. Charles Goodman, Deputy Grand High Priest - R. E. Comp. Alfred G. Hastings, Grand King - R. E. Comp. Edwin F. Warren, Scribe. He also transmitted $12.30 for the 1230 Royal Arch Masons at that time. (In 1871 - there were 359 Members, In 1872 - 392 members, and In 1873 there were 479 members). A letter was written by Christopher Fox to William Bowen on Nov. 21st, 1883, enclosing an original resolution which was offered to the General Grand Chapter on the subject of co-existent membership in Lodge and Chapter. Fox said that if the Grand Chapter of Nebraska will adopt the resolution, it will start the principle in motion, and eventually result in the universal observance of the rule by the Grand Chapters of this Country. Success attend your efforts. A letter was written to William Bowen from Christopher Fox of General Grand Chapter on March 21, 1889. Apparently some information was missing concerning Keystone Chapter #2 of Nebraska City, and I quote: Your favor of March 18th, instant, enclosing a copy of the text of the Charter of Keystone Chapter #2, of your State, issued to you by the General Grand Chapter in 1865, came duly to hand. I will place the paper in file, at the same time returning thanks for the document. There are no records or papers in this office bearing on the subject. In the published Proceedings of the Triennial Conclave held in 1865, I find the following in the report of the General Grand King, Comp. Ira A.W. Buck: On the 25th day of January, 1860, I issued a dispensation to sundry Companions of Nebraska City to be called Keystone Chapter #2, this petition being recommended by Omaha Chapter #1. In Comp. Bucks record, as published in the appendix of same Proceedings, $90.00 is credited as the fee for dispensation granted to Keystone Chapter and on the date given above. The Charter was granted, on the adoption of the report of the committee, on September 8th, 1865. That is all the information I can give you respecting the organization of Keystone Chapter. With kind regards, I am Fraternally yours, Christopher G. Fox William Bowen wrote to Christopher Fox requesting information on the next triennial of the General Grand Chapter and he answered on August 17th , 1889: The time for the next Triennial has been fixed for Wednesday, November 20th, 1889, to be held in Atlanta, Georgia. Rail rates had not been aquired. Then he added he hoped to see Bowen in Atlanta in good health and spirit. He also asked why he passed the "Queen City of the Lakes" (Buffalo, N.Y.) in his passage to and from the Capital City. Should have been glad to see you here. Next trip give us a call. Then from John H. Brown of the Grand Chapter of Kansas, Bowen inquired about the Train rates from Kansas City, Kansas to Atlanta, Georgia. Brown writes on October 31, 1889, that by going the Memphis Route you pay full fare to Atlanta $24.00 and on returning you pay one third of regular rate $8.00. Sleeper will cost $8 to $10 for the round trip. Then, he adds, you see the advantage in living in a railroad center. Central Auditory Processing Disorder A Central Auditory Processing Disorder is a condition which one has difficulty processing or interpreting auditory information. The vast majority of children and adults that have been tested at the Center for Central Auditory Research at Colorado State University can hear even the faintest sounds, but are unable to process everyday sounds so that they can be understood. Individuals with this problem have difficulty concentrating when in an environment that is not perfectly quiet or has some controlled noise in the background. These individuals have to work harder just trying to receive auditory information in a meaningful manner. Think how confusing it would be if one minute you can understand auditory messages and the next minute words and sentences are totally uncomprehensible. The inabillity to communicate effectively hinders our everyday life, and well being, and contributes to school failure, emotional upheavels, work difficulties, unimployment, ect.
